Why am I a poet?
because when I was
too young for Poetry
I saw the void behind the soul
where words no longer have uses
and I lived
with no purpose
further than to speak
and not avert the eyes

Grant -its pity you cant get rid of the spam - I like your poems - are they less a little surreal and a bit more laid back than your previous poetry?
Besides this one (and others) I liked the "question poem" - 'Can anyone tell me why poetry is dead?' I take it as being a question in a poem and perhaps also a question? Hence rhetorical. But with a serious under flow so to speak?
I got here via Jack Ross's blog.
